Hi! I'm Sailor Jupiter! My American name is Lita, my French name is Marty, and my Japanese name is Makoto Kino. (In America, it would be Kino Makoto--In Japan, the family name comes first.) It means "Faithfulness" or "Wisdom of Trees". My friends like to call me Mako-Chan. I live in Tokyo, Japan, with my other Sailor friends. I have very pretty long, wavy brown hair (but i always wear it up--This sorta symbolizes my factors of being a tom-boy.) and emerald-green eyes. My birthday is December fifth, making me a Sagittarius. I LOVE to cook, too. My favorite foods are cherry pie and meatloaf, and I have NO least favorite food.


At my old school, I was in love with a boy named Freddy. He then broke my heart, and I've been bitter ever since. Every guy I see reminds me of him!! I had to get away, so "the wind brought me here", as I said in the very first manga. (There are rumors that I got kicked out of my last school for fighting, but that's not true.)

At the beginning of the series, I am fourteen years old, and I am in the eighth grade at Juuban Junior High School ("Crossroads" in the North American version). When the series ends, I am sixteen years old, and in the tenth grade at Juuban High School. Since I am very tall, their uniforms were too small for me. I have to wear the one from my old school. I love home economics and physical education, but I HATE physics.
My parents died in a plane crash, so I live alone. (This was the cause for my fear of planes.) In my apartment, I keep everything squeaky-clean (heehee!), and keep many many plants to line to walls and furniture. Since I am very self-conscious about my height and somewhat tom-boyish personality, things like keeping my house clean, nursing plants, and cooking are hobbies I took up to be a little more feminine. (But don't get me wrong, I do love to do them ^_^) I must admit I sometimes wish I could be pretty like Michiru, or strong like Haruka. Haruka is the woman I would want to be like when I grow up :)

My favorite animal is the horse, my favorite gem is the emerald, my favorite colors are green and sugar-pink, my favorite flower is Lily of the Valley, my blood type is O. My dream someday is to become a famous chef, own a bake shop, sell flowers, and to become a bride!



I enjoy bargain hunting, shopping, hanging out with my two best buds Usagi and Ken, my good friend Minako, and all my other great senshi friends, figure skating, reading romance novels, drooling over hotties, and of course kicking serious butt with my friends. Luna, Usagi's talking black cat revealed my senshi powers when she gave me my transformation pen.



I shouted "Jupiter Power Makeup" and my sign appeared on my forehead.
